 |
Join Heidi Franscioni in a
fun, inspiring, and supportive environment,
for a 2 day Encaustic
Painting Workshop
or Basic Mini Class!
Whether you are a painter or work in photography, collage, or sculpture,
you will love to add the unique Encaustic magic to your work!
No experience is needed.
You only need to bring your creative self!
Once the ancient medium of the Greeks 2500 years
ago, Encaustic Painting has experienced a resurgence in the contemporary
art community.
Hot molten beeswax, pigments, and tree resin make
up your palette as you create luminous texture with an infinite number of
techniques!
All Workshops and classes
take place
in Heidi's studio at
Studios on the Park in
downtown Paso Robles.
Students may bring personal materials such as
photography, paintings, collage materials, carving implements, and wooden
supports. These materials however will only supplement supplies that will
already be provided. |

HEIDI'S 2 DAY ENCAUSTIC WORKSHOP |

In her 2 Day
workshop, Heidi will impart lots and lots of
encaustic techniques as well as share her unique approach to the art of
encaustic painting. This is by far the best value,
because lots of practical information is provided for a nominal fee.
(See student testimonials at the bottom of this page.)
Heidi will encourage students to learn & experiment
with a vast variety of encaustic techniques, creating sample boards and
"masterpieces" which they
will take home for future reference.
Heidi has written a detailed encaustic
handbook which is only provided in the 2 day workshop. It contains technical info, thorough supplier and material lists, safety
precautions, procedures, and a "sticker approach" to note taking which she
developed. This handbook enables the student to focus on painting and having
fun, instead of taking notes!
As well as completing 5-12 pieces of
art, students will walk away with all the knowledge needed to embark on their
encaustic journey! This workshop also includes 1 hour of post workshop phone/email
support as students begin working independently in their own studios at home.
Attendance is limited for plenty of individualized attention &
work space. All students will work with a personal hot plate so they don't have
to share pigment palettes.

"I love your work. After meeting you, I
wanted to let you know how much I appreciated your…how do you say…realness. You
were friendly and kind from the beginning, and you never changed regardless of
the audience or circumstance. You are who you are. That’s pretty cool and that
'real' transcends into your work...You are connected to the world in a wonderful
way and I’m honored to have been a part of it for a very limited time." - Lorn
